Course Description

This training program is intended to inform designated transit personnel on the dos and don'ts, whys and hows in making fair and reliable reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing referrals of covered employees performing safety-sensitive job function.

Who needs this training?

  • If you operate vehicles that require a CDL on the public roads and you have more than one employee in the company, you are required to get DOT Supervisor Training.
  • Owner-operators are not subject to DOT supervisor training. However, you are still required to register with a consortium for DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Employers need to ensure that the required content is made available to all persons designated to supervise drivers.

The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration regulations require 60 minutes of training on the signs and symptoms of alcohol misuse, and 60 minutes on the signs and symptoms of prohibited drug use.

This program satisfies the basic FTA requirement plus provides additional resources and solutions that will be helpful in your operations.

You will receive a certification document upon the successful completion of this course.
